The medium length handle can be shortened to make a ‘classic’ clutch purse if you prefer? We recommend she is made from a weighty non fraying 100% wool or wool felt to give a firm and wholesome feel… not to mention an enjoyable home sewing experience.

Fabrics

The Annie Satchel Bag (PDF Purse Patterns For Sewing) sewing pattern has been designed for a non fraying double faced fabric with good body. We used a non-fray coat weight 100% wool fabric.

Using a quality 100% wool felt will give the ‘Annie’ bag good posture and a luxurious life long feel and one that will last for many seasons (no fraying or selvedges to worry about also!). Wool felt can easily be sewn on a domestic sewing machine with a walking foot or Teflon coated foot.

Tools & Materials Required

• 55cm Width x 110cm Length – for the external fabric.
• Everything else will need to be purchased at your local haberdashery store.
• A4 /US letter size printer (remember to use ‘actual size’ setting when printing on your home printer).
• A3 printer: select ‘actual size’ and ‘landscape’ mode.
• Please Note: Simply use these PDF sewing patterns on your home printer (they are not suitable for Cricut, ScanNCut, Silhouette, etc. cutting machines).

Competency Level

As a beginner to intermediate sewer who can read pattern instructions, cut out from a template and sew competently you will find this sewing pattern a straightforward and simple to sew experience.
