“Here’s How to cut your envelope” using our SVG envelope cut file template on either Cricut Design Space, Brother ScanNCut Canvas Workspace, Silhouette Studio, Sure Cuts a Lot etc. software. The following guidance notes outline how to make your SVG envelope cut file template.
In these guidance notes we are using the Esmay Envelope Template from the Fable & Guild Cards & Keepsakes Envelopes Collection. Additionally the On Christmas Night Bauble Christmas Card SVG cut file is used as the example card to be sent in the envelope cut file.
Envelope Cut File Steps
1.
Upload your Envelope SVG Cutting File to your art board (Cricut Design Space, Brother ScanNCut Canvas Workspace, Silhouette Studio, Sure Cuts a Lot etc).
a. Upload your Greeting Card SVG Cut File to your artboard.
b. Arrange your Greeting Card SVG Cut File over the Envelope SVG Cut File.
2.
Resize the envelope allowing some additional room to fit your card with ease. Accordingly be sure the size is within your cutting machine artboard mat limit and card choice size (In this example, we have resized to 11″ Height).
3.
Resize your greeting card – Rotate if necessary (In this example, we have resized the card to 5.5″ Width).
Our file comes with perforated lines to make nice clean accurate fold lines. Please now ‘attach’ your envelope file. If you need further guidance see our Here’s How to attach perforated fold lines in Cricut Design Space
You are now ready to cut your file.
4.
You do not require a scoring wheel! Now use your chosen adhesive or double sided sticky tape on the long folded sides.
Further guidance notes are available in the Here’s how to make your envelope template cut file.
5.
Now fold over the envelope flap and insert into the pre-cut slot. Finally fold over the tabs and stick with your chosen adhesive or double sided sticky tape.
