Here is a short 2 minute You Tube video demonstrating the steps we took to make up the Fable & Guild’s 3D layered ’Christmas Tree Charm’ design. This Christmas Tree SVG card cut file art project is made up of 3 layers and once the layers are cut, using your Cricut, Silhouette, ScanNcut or similar cutting machine, your project will take approximately 2 minutes to make up!

We used both standard 65Ib cardstock and a premium adhesive vinyl which cuts well on most cutting machines and is easy to weed and apply. We also recommend you use clear transfer tape to transfer the vinyl layers onto the main body of your card project which will help to line up your layers with more precision. We used Cricut vinyl transfer tape clear to do this. You will also need a good quality dry adhesive that will not wrinkle the card when applied. We used a combination of a dry glue stick and a fine point glue pen.

The colors we worked with aimed to represent a Christmas color palette. We suggest a vibrant and bright red cardstock or premium adhesive vinyl layer (Cricut premium vinyl is pretty good) for the tree baubles and tinsel decorations (cut file layer 1), an iridescent white vinyl, white cardstock or premium white vinyl layer to represent the snow (cut file layer 2) and finally a rich emerald green cardstock to represent the Christmas Tree (cut file layer 3).

The co-ordinating SVG cut file envelope template that you see in the film are also from Fable & Guild High Days & Holidays Christmas SVG cut file design collection. The Ethel Holly & Ethel Bells are square SVG cut file envelope templates and made to fit the Christmas Charm and Christmas Wish Card collections. This SVG Envelope templates can also be scaled to your required size.
